Updating game situation...
Throughout my previous game of Terraforming Mars after each action I would have to reload the page in order to see what the consequences of my actions were as the game just said "Updating game situation" but never completed. I thought it might be a one off but it is happening in both of the new games I have been involved in since then too. Terraforming Mars is the only game where this happens.
This was a previous report which was closed and I was asked to open a new bug report if it continues to happen. It happens in every game of Terraforming Mars I have so here is another bug report.• Mikä on selaimesi?

21. syys 2024 22:17 • I also have this problem, and have to reload after each of my opponents' turn too. (example: table 565604521) This only happens with me since playing with Prelude cards. (I am using Microsoft Edge.) It doesn't happen to my opponents using Chrome/Firefox.
It's especially annoying given that red cards disappear after play: by the time I have reloaded after an opponent's move to see what's happening, the card has disappeared, and I have to ask them to spell out to me what the effects were.

[BGA_NOTIF_TIMEOUT] This is a framework issue which I cannot fix in the game, I am bugging bga team about it weekly...
There is notification timeout that cause some notification to be dropped,
and some of them are important such as one that changes the activate player state on mainsite (which keeps separate state of players, its not just in the game).
When occurs, the active player does not receive notification and both player thinks it the other players turn. If you playing turn based game - it may re-synchronise itself in few hours.
I don't know how to solve this in real time game, but just refresh (F5) if your opponent seems to think too long may help.

28. helmi 2025 2:02 • I'll be honest, I've stopped playing Terraforming Mars for the time being as it has become too much of a chore. However, if it helps to understand the problem, I only play turn based games. I would be prepared to start playing again if my feedback can help troubleshoot.

we are currently facing a difficult outage that affects some of our players, mostly from the Russian Federation but also from other countries. The root cause is still unclear but we suspect some kind of filtering either from our provider or from some other routers.
What is sure is that some IP are partially filtered, which causes lags or disconnections. We are investigating, in the meantime, if you have a VPN or can use a mobile phone as a hotspot or a different connection, please use it to be able to access BGA.
As there are lots of duplicates bugs, I will close them to only keep the most upvoted one, boardgamearena.com/bug?id=164966
