Tarkka kuvaus
• Selitä ehdotuksesti tarkasti ja ytimekkäästi, jotta se on ymmärrettävissä niin helposti kuin mahdollista.
I've found the game to be a bit crunchy and resource heavy compared to other BGA implementations.
I did mention it in-game/post-game chat, and I am aware you've acknowledged it (plus there's a log for mobile phone lag). Just want to log it for laptop/PC/non-mobile hardware.
I've also seen this on my i7-7660U windows 10 machine. It's got 16GB of memory, 64-bit OS. I don't have any GPU acceleration.
It's not fast, but that's what I use. It's more noticeable when I have multiple Chrome windows open or am also running Zoom during a game session.• Mikä on selaimesi?
Google Chrome v87

The next step would be to rework token graphics to add shadows so they don’t need to be rendered in the browser, which your update seems to confirm is a significant contributor to performance problems since they were removed in many instances.

26. tammi 2021 10:14 • I have this issue as well. It is not limited to Carnagie: I also have it with Res Arcana and the latest installation of Alhambra.
I worked in the past (10 years) on UX, using CSS. CSS3 effects such as roundedcorners, dropshadows and to a lesser extent animations are VERY resource heavy.
They also look great.
At the moment I am using an ice pack to play. I will probably have to buy a new laptop.

7. helmi 2021 6:00 • I have removed almost all CSS shadow filter effects. Shadow effects for tokens, department tiles, and company boards are now rendered in the graphics themselves, which should keep them distinct while saving processor strain. Please let me know if graphic performance and processor strain continue to be an issue.

I suggest reviewing the following:
stackoverflow.com/questions/13176746/css-keyframe-animation-cpu-usage-is-high-should-it-be-this-way
There are a few techniques outlined in the post aiming to improve performance when using drop-shadows and animations.
I also suggested the link above in a general BGA suggestion (bug #33108) hoping this will lead to common practice rules when using advanced CSS effects and filters.
