Upgrade a 2 sun shard (pool 8 cost) to a 4 VP (pool 12 cost)

Clicked sun shard 2 then clicked HIGHLIGHTED pool 4 VP tile. I tried this several times and after reloading.

Unexpected error: The side is not the pool matching the upgrade
Didn't allow me to upgrade the die, even when I tried upgrading something different. Eventually I just clicked Cancel and took the 2 VP instead.
next round when I tried again it magically worked just the way I wanted (2 sun shard to 4 VP) I took screenshot of this. So Obviously it worked and was legal. Just not the first time. • Mikä on selaimesi?

Refresh (F5) did not solve the problem

I couldn't do it on the 5th round, but then on the 6th and for the rest of the game I could.

I had this same problem in arena play (season 10) at Table #289377291. Every time I tried to upgrade my dice face, after I chose the dice face from the highlighted pool, I would get "Unexpected Error". I could not get the Merchant's upgrade ability to work the entire game, trying every turn throughout the game, and had to resort to just taking the 2 VP each turn.
I doubt it has any relevance, but just in case, I did have a Blacksmith's Scepter in play.
F5 did not solve anything.
This was on a Chrome browser (Version 103.0.5060.134 (Official Build) (64-bit)) on Windows 7

I forgot to mention above: the dice face I was attempting to upgrade was from an empty pool (pool 2), so the highlighted pool (pool 3) is where I was choosing my upgraded dice face from when I got the error.

game prompted me to upgrade my dice, and moon1 was highlighted, but i was not able to upgrade my dice from gold1 to moon1. I had to upgrade from gold1 to 3gold/2vp instead
