Hello Hanabi friends! :)
If you wish to learn how to play Hanabi at a master level, you've come to the right place! In this group we'll be hosting "teaching games" where you'll play Hanabi with experienced and patient teachers who will teach you advanced strategies and how to think and play like a Hanabi master. :D
Hanabi is not the sort of game you can master in a day or a week or even a month. I've been playing Hanabi for 5 years with over 4500 games under my belt, and I'm *still* learning new techniques and new tricks and new strategies! The basic *rules* of the game are simple enough, but the *conventions*... understanding *how* to play well and what the clues actually *mean*... that's a rabbit-hole that goes very very deep. You start off with concepts like play clues and save clues, chop, and the focus of a clue. Then you have prompt and reverse prompt, finesse and reverse finesse, bluff, gentleman's discard, and extractions. From there, you get things like self-finesse and self-bluff, promise bluff, double bluff, bluff finesse combos, trash bluff, and eventually layered. And the list goes on!
I know all this may seem intimidating, but that's why I created this group. :)
I absolutely love teaching people things, and Hanabi is my favourite game, so teaching people how to play Hanabi is something I do gladly! I see so many people playing Hanabi who don't know all these conventions and strategies, and I want to help them, I want to teach them, I want to invite them to training games and teaching games where I can explain all this stuff. Playing Hanabi is one of the most satisfying rewarding experiences, it's such a wonderful game, and I want to share it with the world!
