Overview
A game last as many rounds as the number of players.
On your turn, you must 1. Take a tile from the board and 2. Place the tile in your village.
1. Take a tile from the board
The tile must be at one end of a row.
2. Place the tile in your village
The tile must be adjacent to another tile in your village, sharing a full edge, but may be oriented in any direction.
In order to be part of your village, an element must be on a path (or trail) connected to your starting tile.
Once you place your 3rd balloon of the same color connected to your starting tile, you must take the first balloon tile of the corresponding color. Place it next to your village, it will score at the end of the game. When you place your 6th balloon of its color, flip the balloon token to its golden side, worth more points.
To attract alebrijes (chimeras) to your village, you must build pedestals. There are 2 sizes of pedestals you can build (2x2 and 2x5), each one matching a different size of alebrije.
When you placed your second stall of the same type in your village, immediately take a path tile from the bag and place it. You may be able to do this several times during the same turn depending on which tiles you draw.
End of the Round
When the last path tile is taken from the board, the round ends. Refill the board and the Catrina token goes to the next player.
End of the Game
Once a player takes and places the last tile the game ends.
Score from the balloon tiles (as shown), Chimeras (3/5pts each).
Each butterfly on the blossom trail connected to your starting tile is worth 2 points.
Each visitor on a paved path connected to your starting tile is worth 1 point.
Score each altar grants as shown.
And finally, you score 0/1/4/9/16/25 points for 1/2/3/4/5/6 different stalls in your village.
The player with the best score wins.
