RupertIII[red]Welcome to Sushi GO![/red] This is a [blue]pick and pass[/blue] game where the goal is to collect various sets of sushi for points. You will play [blue]3 rounds[/blue] and the goal is to have collected the most points by the end of the game. 1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

RupertIII[blue]Pick and Pass[/blue] means you will pick a card from your hand to play & then you will pass the cards in your hand to the player on your left and receive cards from the player on your right. !!!BGA will handle passing the cards so don't worry [tip] You [red]will not[/red] be able to play all the cards you see in front of you right now but you *may* see some of these cards again. 1my_cards

RupertIIIHere you can see the round counter (1/3) and the number of cards still in the deck (80). There are 32 cards out right now and not all the cards in the deck will be used. It's important to understand that [blue]not all the cards in the game will be used[/blue]. This makes the game interesting because no two hands or games will ever be exactly the same! 2deck

RupertIIILet's look at some of the sushi you can get. We will see some examples in this hand and and will cover all the cards by the end of the tutorial. This first sushi is called [blue]Egg Nigiri[/blue]. Playing it in front of you will score you [blue]1 point[blue].3my_cards_item_13

RupertIIIThis [blue]Salmon Nigiri[/blue] works the same. Playing it will give you [blue]2 points[/blue]. There is one more nigiri card called [blue]Squid Nigiri[/blue] and it is worth [blue]3 points[/blue]. !!! We will see Squid Nigiri later in the game4my_cards_item_87

RupertIIITempura works a bit different. We will need [red]2 tempura[/red] played down by the end of the round to be able to score because they only score in pairs. If we play [blue]2 tempura[/blue] down by the end of the round we will score [blue]5 points[/blue]! 5my_cards_item_72

RupertIII[blue]Dumplings[/blue] score more points when you have more of them. Having [blue]one[/blue] will score [blue]1[/blue], [blue]two[/blue] will score [blue]3[/blue], [blue]three[/blue] will score [blue]6[/blue], [blue]four[/blue] will score [blue]10[/blue], and [blue]five[/blue] will score [blue]15[/blue]! Don't worry, if you forget the scoring just check the bottom of the card.1archiveCommentElementPointerTargetInner

RupertIIIThe last card we see in our hand is [blue]Pudding[/blue]. [blue]Pudding[/blue] is unique as it will be the only card we save to score until the [blue]end of the game[/blue]. [blue]At the end of the game[/blue] whoever has the most puddings saved up over the three rounds will score [blue]6 points[/blue]. The person with the least saved up will [red]lose 6 points[/red]. 2my_cards_item_1

RupertIIIWe will go ahead and play a pudding card. (Just click the pudding card highlighted and then click play this card above) 1my_cards_item_53

RupertIIIHere's a new card! Whoever has [red]the most[/red] [blue]Maki Rolls[/blue] at then end of the round will [blue]score 6 points[/blue] and the person with the [blue]next highest[/blue] will [blue]score 3 points[/blue]. [tip]Note that this card is worth 2 Maki Rolls (see the two Maki Rolls at the top of the card).1my_cards_item_2

RupertIII[tip] This Maki roll over here is [blue]worth 3[/blue], making it the better choice. 2my_cards_item_38

RupertIIIIf we look at what our friends played we can see a few other cards that we haven't explained yet. This one is called [blue]Wasabi[/blue]. Wasabi is very powerful because it will [blue]multiply[/blue] the points of [blue]the next Nigiri card played by 3[/blue]. [tip] This means we could get 6 points for a Salmon Nigiri instead of just 3. 3played_89462401_item_31

RupertIII!!!One thing to remember is that you have to play the Wasabi down first. !!!You can't play a Nigiri down and then slide the Wasabi under it. 4played_89462401_item_31

RupertIII[blue]Sashimi[/blue] works very similar to the Tempura card that we saw earlier. The big difference is that [blue]you need 3[/blue] and you will [blue]score 10 points[/blue] for the set. [tip] This makes Sashimi a high risk/ high reward type card since you never know how many might be in play and other people may try to collect them too. 5played_90242410_item_77

RupertIII[blue]Chopsticks[/blue] [red]doesn't score any points.[/red] But [blue]if you play it down[/blue] on any subsequent turn you can [blue]pick it up into your hand and play two cards[/blue] that turn instead of just one. [tip] This can be really helpful if you are trying to collect sashimi for example. 6played_85137311_item_74

RupertIII[tip] Chopsticks are not good when only 2 cards are left in the hand since you won't be able to use it effectively and it doesn't score any points. 7played_85137311_item_74

RupertIIILets go ahead and start collecting some Maki Rolls! (Click the highlighted Maki Rolls and then click Play this card above)1my_cards_item_97

RupertIIICheck it out, this player played [blue]Chopsticks[/blue] and was able to play down [blue]two sashimi[/blue] cards this turn. Now they only need 1 more Sashimi card to score. [green]What a great play![/green] !!! Notice that the [blue]Chopsticks[/blue] were moved back into the hand and passed off. 1played_85137311_item_81

RupertIIIHere is the [blue]Squid Nigiri[/blue] that we talked about earlier. Remember it scores [blue]3 points[/blue] when played or [blue]9 points[/blue] when played on top of [blue]Wasabi[/blue]. 1my_cards_item_59

RupertIIISo, I'll play out the [blue]Wasabi[/blue] and we can try and combo with the [blue]Squid Nigiri[/blue] later in the round. 1my_cards_item_48

RupertIIIHere's the final card that we haven't seen. [blue]Soy Sauce[/blue] scores [blue] 4 points [/blue] if you play it [red]AND[/red] you have played [red]more[/red] different colored cards than any other player. This is a good card if you are collecting lots of different sushi this round. 1my_cards_item_109

RupertIII!!! Soy Sauce is not played in every game so make sure to see if it is being included in the game options. [tip] Also note that Wasabi and the Nigiri cards all have the same color of background.2my_cards_item_109

RupertIIIOh no! There were no [blue]Nigiri[/blue] for us to play so this [blue]Wasabi[/blue] went to [red]waste[/red]. [tip] This doesn't happen often but it can happen so be careful! 1played_91961649_item_48

RupertIII!!! Notice how this player was only able to get 2 [blue]Sashimi[/blue] this round so they won't score any points for these cards. [tip] Remember, there may not even be enough [blue]Sashimi[/blue] cards in the hand to score as was the case here. 3row_85137311

RupertIIIIt's the [red]final round[/red] so we want to make sure we have some [blue]pudding[/blue] saved up. We have 1 [blue]pudding[/blue] right now and notice that the player below us has 3 but the last player has none. [tip] Its unlikely that we will be able to collect more than the player below us but we should try to have more than the 4th player so we don't lose points at the end of the game.1fridge_door_91961649
