TorselliWelcome to *Art Thief*! In this 2-player cooperative game, you play the role of two famous robbers - *White Tiger* and *Black Fox*, and your goal is to steal * valuable items* - before getting caught by the guards!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

TorselliThere are two main rules in the game: *[red]Movement Rule[/red]* - Both robbers move orthogonally. *White Tiger* may only move through *white* and *grey* squares; *Black Fox* may only move through *black* and *grey* squares. *[red]Stealing Rule[/red]* - to steal an item, *both* robbers must be in *different* squares displaying *the same item, at the same time*. 3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

TorselliThe deck consists of *18 room cards* and *4 guard cards*. They are shuffled separately, and the *room* cards are placed on top of the *guard* cards. Each *room card* has *one item*. Each item appears in 3 cards, in different squares (white, black, grey). !!! The *guard* cards will be addressed later. 4archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

TorselliThe *Score Sheet* shows the items you must steal: There are *4* of them in the Easy (Standard) mode and *6* of them in the Hard mode. Since this is an Easy mode game, the plants are crossed out - you just need to steal the 4 paintings. !!! During the game, the *score sheet* will be updated with the items already stolen. If you click an item on the score sheet, the map will be centered on it. 5scoresheet

TorselliOn your turn you *must* [blue]*1. Draw a card and place it, creating the map*[/blue] and you *may* [blue]*2. Move your meeple up to five spaces.*[/blue]6archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

TorselliCards must always be played adjacent by at least one square to an existing card. The first card will be played on the *highlighted* squares, allowing *Black Fox* to access the *purple painting*.8space_-2_0

TorselliNow you may *move* White Tiger. Since both *purple* paintings are already showing, you can prepare the *stealing*. Move the *white meeple* to the *[red]highlighted[/red]* square. 1grid_3_2

TorselliWhen you *flip* a room card, you create an *impassable* wall on that place. In addition, if one of the meeples is on the flipped card, you *lose* the item showed on the card, if you already stole it, and have to steal it again. !!! TorselliYou *lose* the game if you cannot steal one of the objects. The *last four* cards in the deck are *guard* cards, each one displaying one of the *four paintings*. TorselliIn addition of playing it on the map (it's impassable as a flipped card), it'll force you to *flip* one of the room cards of the painting it is showing. If it's a painting you haven't stolen yet, *the game is over* and you lose. 3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

TorselliWhen *creating a table*, the following variants are available: *Hard mode* - 6 items to be stolen (4 paintings and 2 plants). *Card Choice* - the deck starts without the *guards*. You draw 2 cards and choose one to play.. After playing 9 cards, the discards are shuffled and added on top of the *guards*. *Silence* - players must choose where to place room cards without discussing. 4archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

Torselli*Tread Lightly* - players may move only 4 spaces instead of 5. *State of the Art Security* - every time you need to flip a card (due to guards or third card of same item), it must be done *before playing your turn*. 5archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment
