Carrick22FRDiamonds are assigned a value of 1 to 10 (top-left corner), each with a different color. To constitute a collection, you must have *3 or more* diamonds *of the same value*. To score the points of a collection, it must be placed in [blue]your safe[/blue].2market_item_29

Carrick22FRNow, in order to take from the market, you must first play a card. Taking cards from the market can be done in two ways :1myhand

Carrick22FR- You can play a card and take back *all cards of the same value as the one played* in your hand. For example, playing your 6 to take the other one from the market.2myhand_item_28

Carrick22FR- Or you can play a card and *take other cards which values add up to the one played*. For example, playing a 5 to capture the 1 and the 4 (1 + 4 = 5). Note that this way, [red]you don't get back the card played[/red]. There is no limit to how many cards you take with this approach.3myhand_item_22

Carrick22FRWe'd like to keep our 5's and capture the 6. So we can [green]play the 6[/green] from our hand to the [red]market[/red] and take all 6's from the market.5myhand_item_28

Carrick22FR..and now, we take all 6's from the market back to our hand.1market_item_14

Carrick22FRAt this moment, if your hold more than *5* cards, you must [green]play excess diamonds[/green] on the market or [blue]discard special cards[/blue]. We will get to them later. Here, our turn will simply end.1myhand

Carrick22FRHere, our opponent is making the move we discussed earlier with a 5, taking the 1 and the 4. See how the 5 will be left on the market.1market

Carrick22FRHere, we will draw *one* card to our hand for later. Note that you can hold more than 5 cards during your turn, but always end it with 5 cards or less. 1myhand

Carrick22FRHey, it's a [blue]special card[/blue] ! This one can be played during your turn to [red]disrupt your opponent's collections[/red], or [green]make your life easier[/green]. But we must not stray away from our goal : *securing our first collection*. Let's do this.1myhand

Carrick22FRWe can see that our opponent is forming a collection of 8's. Let's keep that in mind and skip forward.1market_item_29

Carrick22FRWe know our opponent has a collection of 8's, and we have an 8 : this card allows us to [red]steal a diamond from our opponent's safe[/red], and we can hope to make a collection of 8 this way.2myhand_item_35

Carrick22FRAnd choose to steal an *8* from our opponent. If there are 3 or more players, you pick the one you steal from.1action_select_8

Carrick22FRHere it is ! And now, the two 8's in the opponent's safe are worthless since a collection is *3 or more cards* (our opponent had taken 3 8's from the market to form it).1myhand_item_29

Carrick22FROne very important rule : Each time you want to [blue]add something to your safe[/blue]...1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

Carrick22FRYou must [red]*always add a new collection of diamonds*[/red]. Thus to extend our collection of 5's, we can only *wait to form another collection* before adding all gems at once. For example, we could add the 5 if we had a collection [green]in your hand[/green], adding all of them at the same time. You can [blue]*only expand existing collections in your safe*[/blue].2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

Carrick22FRBuried within the last cards is the [red]"Closing"[/red] card : when this card is drawn, all players must *play one final turn* and [red]*the round ends[/red]*.1market_item_50

Carrick22FRFor scoring, players count the value of each collection they secured, indicated on the bottom of the cards (value for 3 - value for 4 - value for 5 cards in the collection).2mysafe_item_27

Carrick22FRTwo bonuses are given at the end of each round : *3 points* for whoever [green]holds the biggest sum of diamond's value in their hand[/green] (here, we have 16)...3myhand

Carrick22FR...and *5 points* to whoever [blue]*secures*[/blue] the most *"very pure" diamonds*, marked with a [green]spyglass[/green] next to their value (we currently hold 4 of them).4mysafe_item_24
