The MGTWelcome to *Knarr*. Recruit Vikings to form your crew. Make your fortune by sending them to discover new territories on your ship and establish trade routes. The MGTBut first, a look at the [red]game board[/red] with the *victory point track* (round marker) and the *reputation track* (small square marker). You can hover over the player names on the player boards to highlight their tokens. We will come to the cards above and below in a minute. The MGTYou hired a good crew! Save your last recruit token for later, and take the free green card from the *yellow column*.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

The MGTHave you noticed? Because your reputation has reached the square marked *1 VP* on the reputation track last turn, you will now receive one victory point *at the beginning of every round*! Now play the card that increases your reputation by another 2. This means that your reputation will reach the next marked square, and from the next round on you will receive even 2 victory points per round.1board

The MGTVery good! To do that again we need another yellow card. You still have a recruit token, so take the card you need!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

The MGTI think you have mastered recruiting. There are two more things to learn: *Trade* and *Explore destinations*. We'll come to that in a moment. Play the yellow card and we'll fast-forward a bit.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

The MGTUm, a few words about *trading*: Once per turn, before *or* after your action, you can spend your *bracelets* to buy *assets*. These assets are represented at the top of your ship and at the bottom of the destinations in three columns. You have one bracelet, but you can't buy anything for it. Let me go and get some bracelets for you.1table-destinations-A

The MGTBy the way, for experienced players there is a game option *Artifacts*. With this option, 1 artifact card is randomly selected during setup and placed next to the game board. The MGTOops, the draw pile is empty. What now? The MGTMaybe it's time to *explore destinations*. This also opens up more trading opportunities for you. Take the middle destination card from the upper row.2destination-29-front

The MGTThis exploration actually costs 3 green and 2 blue cards from your crew zone. But luckily you have two recruit tokens to spend here instead of the two blue cards! Select the green cards, in this tutorial in the reverse order in which they were played, and send your Vikings on their way.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

The MGTBoom. That gave you the indicated reward: 8 victory points, and a recruit token!
