AlexanderMierzwaWelcome capybara lovers! Today you are on the vast plain where the capybaras live. There was a bountiful harvest of pumpkins this year. How to win? Cleverly command the baby monkey to claim the coolest lineup of pumpkins for your capybara herd and win the game.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

AlexanderMierzwaOn top of the gaming area you see a display of 5 capybara cards and it's draw pile as well as 5 pumpkin cards and it's respective draw pile.2cb_pumpkin_back_30

AlexanderMierzwaAt the beginning a starting player is chosen by BGA. In reverse turn order the players make a preparation turn before the game starts. Everyone choses 1 capybara card from the display to add to their starting herd as well as 1 pumpkin card, which they take on their hand.3cb_card_front_6

AlexanderMierzwaYour opponent has chosen 1 capybara and 1 pumpkin card. Now it is your turn! Select the blue capybara card on the right of the display to add it to your herd. Every time you take cards from the display, you have to insert them into your herd. BGA is showing litte arrows where you can insert the card. For now, just click the rightmost arrow to place the card at the right end of your herd.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

AlexanderMierzwaGood job, your herd has now a second blue capybara. Now you have to choose 1 pumpkin card. Pumpkin cards have conditions on them, that you will have to fulfill in order to gain points. I will explain in a bit how this is achieved in detail. For now, take the rightmost pumpkin card. BGA places it into your hand (on the left of your playing area). 1cb_target_3

AlexanderMierzwaWell done! We're all set up to start the game! As you have seen, BGA has filled up the displays of cards to 5 and a small monkey appeared atop of the right end of your herd. You are commanding this monkey to hop over your herd in order to take your actions. 1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

AlexanderMierzwaNow, it's your 1st regular turn. You may choose to discard and refresh the display of capybara cards at the beginning of each turn by clicking the corresponding button. For now, we will skip this option and click "Do nothing".2button_nothing

AlexanderMierzwaYou always have 3 options in your turn. We will start with the option "Gain Capybara cards" by clicking on it. You have the option to move your monkey 1 or 3 steps to receive 1 or 2 capybara cards from the display. Click the option "3 step(s) to gain 2 card(s)" and take the two red capybara cards. Place them once again at the rightmost possible spot.1zone_market

AlexanderMierzwaThe opponent has refreshed the display of cards and made his turn. Time for us to learn about the 2nd action. But first, click "Do nothing".1button_nothing

AlexanderMierzwaSince our monkey is quite far on the left side of our herd, the options we have are rare. We could move 1 more step to gain 1 capybara card, but that does not seem to be very lucrative at the moment. So instead, we choose to move our monkey back on the herd. By that our monkey will go 3 steps back on our herd, as depicted on the card. Click the corresponding button above to take the action.1button_action_c

AlexanderMierzwaWe once again take the action "Gain Cabybara cards". Click on the button. We only want to take 1 card. Choose the corresponding option to pick the blue card. You will see that the options to place the card are restricted. You may only sort new cards into your herd beginning at the slot your monkey is on or further to the right, never to the left. Place the new card in between the 2 other blue.1zone_pumpkins

AlexanderMierzwaYou probably have already seen that our opponent has taken two pumpkin cards already. Time for us, to score as well! Click "Gain a Pumpkin card". Pumpkin cards have conditions on them that you must fulfill in order to gain them. There are 2 types of conditions: you either have to go a specific number of steps to the left with your monkey, indicated by the number in the grey arrow on a card...1cb_pumpkin_front_1

AlexanderMierzwaOr you have to move your monkey to the left to surpass capybaras of the indicated colour. You must not match the order that is given on the pumpkin card and may also have cards of different colours in between them. BGA highlights the pumpkincards you may fulfill. Pay attention to your hand as well, since this card may be scored with this action as well...2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

AlexanderMierzwaBut for now we will go with the rightmost card of the display, since this will give us 8 points! Click on the card and BGA will move your monkey the steps you need to take to fulfill the condition. 3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment

AlexanderMierzwaGreat! We scored our first points! The card we scored is placed over here. The game will end, if one player has scored 5 pumpkin cards or the display of capybara cards can no longer be filled up to 5 after a player's turn. (The discard pile will be shuffled and forms a new deck, once the deck runs out of cards.) End the current round and play 1 more round, before you make a final scoring... 1cb_pumpkin_front_8

AlexanderMierzwaEach player also gets a Bonus Card delt at the beginning. These will score points for the way you have built up your capybara herd during the game. Our card for example will give us 1 extra points at the end of the game for each pair of the same cards next to each other in our herd (exactly 2 cards, not more, not less).2cb_bonus_3

AlexanderMierzwaWe will now gain the pumpkin card on our hand. By that we may flip our monkey to it's backside. Our opponent already has flipped it. The monkey then will move back 4 steps. You may flip the monkey if you score the pumpkin card from your hand or you have scored your 3rd pumpkin card.1cb_hand_1

AlexanderMierzwaBut you might be wondering, how we will score the pumpkin card in our hand? We do not have 4 blue capybaras?! You are right! But we may forgo any capybara condition on a pumpkin card by moving forward 3 steps. That's why it will work out for us. :)2cb_pumpkin_front_5
