NekonyancerOn each turn, we can use our two *action cubes* to take two different actions on our [red]*reference card.*[/red] Our goal is to move both of our pieces from our starting location to our opponent's *home* (starting location).3actionCubeContainer_11941354_1

NekonyancerAlong the way, we'll acquire [red]*resources*[/red] and spend them to gain [blue]*action cards,*[/blue] which will give us extra actions each turn. [green]The first player to get both of their pieces onto the opponent's home wins the game![/green]4yellowBank

NekonyancerOur opponent already chose the top-right corner as their home, making them the [green]green player.[/green] We can choose any other corner as our own. We'll then use pieces of the corresponding color to play the game. [red]Let's go with red.[/red] *Click on the [red]bottom-left space![/red]*5tile_0_5

NekonyancerOkay, now we're the [red]red player![/red] Our [green]opponent[/green] is the first player. As I said, they'll use their two Action cubes to perform two different actions...1tile_5_1

Nekonyancer[green]... and now it's our turn![/green] Let's start by taking the MOVE action. It lets us move a single piece one space *orthogonally* (up/down/left/right). *Click on the box next to "MOVE." Then continue.*1action_11941354_move

NekonyancerDid you click on [red]*GAIN?*[/red] Okay, then now we can take a resource from the supply! Resources come in the same four colors as everything else in this game. We can only take a resource if we have a piece on a space of the *same color.*3yellowBank

NekonyancerOkay, we've learned how to MOVE and GAIN resources. Next, we'll learn how to spend them with the *BUY* action! There are six Action cards in the supply. Each one has a resource cost shown along the bottom.1storecard_16

Nekonyancer[blue]Great! We got our first Action Card![/blue] Action Cards are activated whenever a player MOVES a piece onto a space of the corresponding color. In this case, if we MOVE a piece onto a yellow space, we'll activate this card, which will give us another MOVE action!1card_16

NekonyancerWith that in mind, let's MOVE! *1.* Select [red]*MOVE*[/red] on our reference card! *2.* Select [blue]*this piece.*[/blue] *3.* Move *UP* to the yellow space!2tile_2_5

NekonyancerBy moving onto a yellow space, we activated our yellow Action card! We can use it to get another MOVE action!1tile_2_4

NekonyancerUnfortunately, moving onto another yellow space did not activate our Action Card again. Each card can only be activated and used *once per turn.*1card_16

NekonyancerWe're off to a good start. Let's think ahead a little bit. There are five connected red spaces ahead of us. If we get a [red]red action card,[/red] we'll be able to trigger it often as we move to our opponent's starting location!1tile_3_3

Nekonyancer[blue]*This card*[/blue] looks pretty good. We'll need two yellow resources to buy it. *1.* Click on [red]*GAIN.*[/red] *2.* Take a yellow resource!2yellowBank

NekonyancerOkay, I think you got the gist of it! There are just a few more things I need to explain, starting with the *SWAP* and *RESET* actions on our reference card. *SWAP* lets us discard a resource and draw any resource from the supply. *RESET* lets us discard all the Action Cards in the supply and deal 6 new ones.1action_11941354_swap

NekonyancerSome Action Cards grant [green]*PUSH*[/green] actions, which are not available on player reference cards. PUSH allows a player to MOVE another player's piece, no matter where they are on the board! PUSHes do not activate Action Cards. Pieces cannot be PUSHed onto homes.2storecard_64

NekonyancerThe last thing I have to mention is the [red]*"Overdrive"*[/red] option! This feature was added for the BGA adaptation. It is not mentioned in the rulebook. Overdrive allows us to exchange *two* of our actions for *one* of our choice.3actionBtnOverdrive

NekonyancerThe last thing I have to mention is 3-player and 4-player modes! *3-player:* Each player must send one piece to each of their opponents' homes. *4-player:* Players in diagonal positions team up! Each team must get 3 of their 4 pieces onto their opponents' homes.4maintitlebar_content
