The problem is that each player has *two* bots and only *one* remote! [green][tip] This 48-step tutorial is best viewed on a computer![/green]1maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerIn *Twin Tin Bots,* players will take turns using order tiles to change their bots' programming. Each order will be executed every turn for as long as it remains in a bot's program! Players get points by picking up [blue]*crystals*[/blue] and delivering them to their [green]*base.*[/green] [green]The first player to gather enough points wins![/green]2maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerIf you *scroll down* a little, you'll find our [blue]*programming board.*[/blue] As you can see, each of our two bots has slots for three orders. Below that, you'll find all of our [green]*order tiles,*[/green] which we will use to fill those slots.3maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerEach player can usually make just *one* change per turn, but on their first turn, they can make *two:* one to each bot. There are three ways to change a bot's program: • *Add* an order tile. • *Replace* an order tile. • *Swap* two order tiles.4slot_92143487_2

NekonyancerWe'll start by *adding* a [green]*Forward x2*[/green] order. You can guess what it does, right? *Select the [green]Forward x2[/green] order. Place it [red]here.[/red]*5slot_92143487_2

NekonyancerNext, each of our bots will execute *all* the orders in their respective program to the best of their ability. *Scroll up so you can watch our bots in action. Then click on [blue]"Confirm Programs!"[/blue]*1button_confirm

Nekonyancer[blue]Did you see what our opponent's bot just did?[/blue] It loaded a crystal, which required a [green]*Load Crystal*[/green] order. This only works when a crystal is right in *front* of a bot. (Next to a bot won't work!)1robot_6

NekonyancerHey, there's a [blue]*crystal*[/blue] right in front of [red]*our bot*[/red] right now! We should definitely load it up! Afterward, we can have our bot deliver it to our [green]*base!*[/green]2robot_3

NekonyancerThere's a problem though. The bot is going to continue executing its *Forward* and *Turn* orders every turn. The *Forward* order will still be helpful, but I don't think we should turn anymore!3robot_3

NekonyancerThis is a good time to *replace* an order instead of *add!* *Select this [green]Load Crystal[/green] order. Then click [red]here[/red] to replace the Turn order!*4robot_board_92143487_2

Nekonyancer*Perfect!* As you can see, the [green]*Turn Right*[/green] command returned to our supply. *Click on [blue]"Confirm Programs"[/blue] at the top!*1player_orders_92143487_item_13

NekonyancerThis turn is a little complicated. I'll slow it down and explain each order, one at a time. First, [red]*this bot*[/red] will attempt to execute its *Forward x2* order. However, the two spaces in front of it are *occupied* - one by a crystal and one by a bot.1robot_3

NekonyancerBots cannot move when the next *two* spaces in front of them are occupied, so this order will fail. [red]Nothing will happen.[/red] Afterward it fails to execute its *Forward* order, it will will still execute its *Load Crystal* order with no issues.2hex_5_6

NekonyancerBy the way, it's most common to Load crystals that are sitting on the ground, but if you're crafty enough, you can Load a crystal that has already been Loaded onto another bot! 😈3robot_3

NekonyancerNext, [red]*this bot*[/red] will execute its *Forward x1* order. In this case, only the *first* space in front of it is occupied. When only the first space in front of a bot is occupied, the bot can still move, *pushing* whatever is in the way!4hex_8_7

NekonyancerThis is actually perfect. Our bot with a loaded crystal is now perfectly aligned with [green]*our base!*[/green] [green](Step 20/48)[/green]5robot_3

Nekonyancer[blue]Did you see that? Our opponent did something very clever![/blue] [blue]*This bot*[/blue] moved *two* crystals at the same time. One was loaded on its back, and one was pushed in front as it moved!1robot_6

NekonyancerWe can't let our opponent get away with those crystals! Let's mess with their plans by using a [green]*"Zap!"*[/green] order! When a bot uses a Zap! order, it shoots a bolt of electricity straight forward with a range of 2 spaces. If the first thing it hits is a bot, we can temporarily control it!2robot_6

NekonyancerFor example, if we gave [red]*this bot*[/red] a Zap! order, the zap would hit [blue]*our opponent's bot.*[/blue] We could then order our opponent's bot to, say, turn in an inconvenient direction!3robot_3

Nekonyancer[blue]*This bot*[/blue] isn't doing much at the moment though. It would be much better if we could mess with the one that's delivering two crystals at once! Too bad our bots aren't facing that direction...4robot_5

NekonyancerHmm... Actually, we can still make this happen. We just have to use our [green]*Double Modification*[/green] tile. It will allow us to make two changes in a single turn, but we can only use it once per game!5robot_6

NekonyancerFirst, let's place a Turn order to fix our bot's position. *Select this [green]Turn Right[/green] order. Place it [red]here.[/red]*6slot_92143487_4

NekonyancerNow we can order our opponent's bot to move forward, turn left, turn right, load a crystal, or unload a crystal. [blue]Hmm, what should we tell it to do?[/blue] [green](Step 30/48)[/green]1robot_6

NekonyancerWell, if we order it to *Load,* nothing will happen because it's already carrying a crystal. If we order it to *Unload,* nothing will happen because the space in front of it is blocked. Our opponent will probably not mind if it moves *Forward* another space.2robot_6

NekonyancerI think telling it to *Turn Left* - away from our opponent's [green]*base*[/green] - is the best option. *Click [blue]here![/blue]*3zap_3

NekonyancerOkay, let's turn our attention back to [red]*our other bot.*[/red] Right now, it has two orders in its program: [green]*Forward x2*[/green] and [green]*Load Crystal.*[/green]1robot_3

Nekonyancer[green]*Forward x2*[/green] will fail because it's already bumping against our base. Bases can't be pushed around. [green]*Load Crystal*[/green] will fail because there isn't a crystal in front of it and it already has a crystal loaded. [blue]You know what we're going to do, right?[/blue]2robot_3

NekonyancerWe're going to use an *Unload Crystal* order! This will make our bot deposit its cargo on the space right in front of it. Crystals can only be unloaded onto empty ground, into bases, or in rare cases, onto the backs of other bots! *Select this [green]Unload Crystal[/green] order. If you scroll down to our supply of orders, you'll see that we drew a [green]*Dash!*[/green] You can hover over it to see what it does.1robot_3

NekonyancerAfter we deposited the crystal, BGA placed a new crystal in the center of the arena. [green]It's a green one.[/green] Green crystals are worth *3 points* instead of *2,* but they don't grant special orders.2crystal_12

NekonyancerOur opponent managed to return a green crystal, scoring 3 points! Since there's a crystal in the center space already, they must *choose an adjacent space* and place a new crystal on it.1crystal_12

NekonyancerUnsurprisingly, they chose the spot closest to their base!1crystal_13

Nekonyancer[blue]Okay, I think you've seen enough of the gameplay![/blue] The game will continue until one player reaches *11/10/9/8/7* points in a *2/3/4/5/6* player game, [green]winning the game immediately![/green] Alternatively, when the last crystal is placed on the board, BGA will start a countdown. Everyone will finish the current round and then play 3 more rounds. [green]Whoever has the most points wins![/green]2maintitlebar_content

NekonyancerIf the board seems a little empty to you, feel free to fill it up! There are four options you can toggle in the lobby: *Rocks:* Can't be pushed or loaded. *Blobs:* Can be pushed around, but can't be loaded. Can also move and push other things if zapped. *Teleporters:* These come in pairs. When bots move onto one, they teleport to the other! *Mud:* Bots that are stuck in mud get -1 movement per turn. That means a bot will need at least 2 programmed movement to get out!3maintitlebar_content
